GRIZZLY CUP GOLF TOURNAMENT
The Grizzly Cup Golf Tournament started in 2022 from the vision of Brian Smith wanting to gather some friends together for some golf after purchasing his home at Grizzly Ranch just outside of Portola California. The first year was a big success with 26 golfers. Everyone had a good time and the staff at Grizzly Ranch were wonderful and gracious, so we decided to rinse and repeat. Year two in 2023 we grew in numbers and yet again (44), the event saw huge success. In 2024 we grew yet again to 64 golfers. 2025 was a banner year. The tournament full with 36 teams and we filled the golf course. Despite some wild weather (hail, rain, wind) everyone had a great time. The scores are posted, the awards given, pictures posted and many memories made. Be sure to keep an out out for dates announcements for next year.
A portion of the funds collected for the tournament was donated to the Veterans of Foreign Wars local chapter. We all appreciate and benefit from the freedoms guaranteed us through those that have served and fought for them. Thank you for those in the tournament who have served. We now have another button option on the payment page where you can make an additional donation if you choose and those additional funds will be combined with those raised through the tournament fees and granted again to the local VFW Post 3758.
